子ども達が宿題で使いやすいようコピーしてください。
宿題をする時にはコピーしたものを横に置き、
単語のスペルなど確認しながら行って下さい。
Picture Dictionaryは一年間使用できるよう御家庭で大切に保管してください。

今週はEnglishで乗り物について学び、
Phonicsでは Ss Tt Uu Vv の字を学びました。
今週のHomeworkは数字のプリント1枚（両面）
とSuper Simple A B C Uppercase p.40-41 です。
Super Simple ABC Lowercaseが終わったら、最後のページのシールを
絵とマッチするように貼り、楽しんで下さい。
クレヨンは持ちやすいものを使い、必ずお家の方と一緒に取り組んでください。
宿題は8月29日(月)に持ってきて下さい。

Summer Phonics Flashcard Boosterのお知らせLion
We'd like to share some activities and ideas to help boost your
reading and writing skills over the summer break.
・First, review & practice the first page in each unit of Sounds Fun.
These are: p.6 "_a_e", p.14 "_i_e", p.22 "_o_e", p.30 "_u_e",
These pages demonstrate how the vowel sounds can change.
・Second, if you haven't already, remove and use the flashcards in
the appendix of Sounds Fun (including p.111).
Use them to drill the vocabulary or to play reading games like the following:
*Use the cards on p.111 & that match the vocabulary for Units 1-4*
1) "Short to Long Hunt" "pin" ⇒ "pine" You will need: p.111 & matching cards.
Player 1 takes a card from the p.111 (short vowel sounds) and reads it out loud.
Player 2 searches for the matching word with an "e" at the end and reads it aloud.
2) "Long to Short Hunt" "tube" ⇒ "tub" You will need: p.111 & matching cards.
Player 1 takes a card with a "silent e" (long vowel sounds) and reads it out loud.
Player 2 searches for the matching word from the short vowel sounds and reads it.
3) "Silent E Memory" "man" ⇔ "mane" You will need: p.111 & matching cards.
Place all the cards used above picture side down. Turn over two cards at a time.
Read the cards aloud. If they match as above, then you have made a pair.
4) "Rhyme Memory" "bake" ⇔ "cake" You will need: all cards from units 1-4.
Place all the cards with a silent e picture side down. Turn over 2 cards at a time.
Read the cards aloud. If they have the same ending sound, you have a pair.
夏休み期間中、リーディング、ライティング向上のための
フラッシュカードの使い方についてのお知らせです。
・Sounds Fun 3 テキスト、unit 1-4 の初めのページの復習をしましょう。
これは： p.6 "_a_e", p.14 "_i_e", p.22 "_o_e", p.30 "_u_e"です。ここでは、
”e” がつくことで母音の音がどのように変化するかを見ていただけます。
・後ろのページにあるフラッシュカード（p.111~）を全て外し、
unit 1-4 に使うカードを選別してください。
１）プレイヤー１は、p.111にある短い音からなる単語を一つ選び、読み上げます。
(例：pin)
プレイヤー２は、フラッシュカードの中から、その短い音の単語に“e”がついて
長くなった音からなる単語を選び、読み上げます。（例：pine）
２）次はその逆を行います。プレイヤー１は、フラッシュカードの中から
”e”がついた長い音からなる単語を選び読み上げます。（例：tube）
プレイヤー2は、その音から”e”が取れて短くなった音の単語をp.111
の中から選び、読み上げます。（例：tub）
３）「サイレントEゲーム」このユニットに合うフラッシュカードは全て
裏返しにしてテーブルの上に置きます。p.111のカードもばらばらにし、
裏返しておきます。p.111のグループのカードを1枚表に返し、読み上げます。
次に、フラッシュカードのグループの中から1枚表に返し、読み上げます。
それらの単語が、上記のように一致すれば、それらのカードをもらうことが出来、
もう一度続けて行うことが出来ます。最終的にたくさんカードを
持っていた方のプレイヤーの勝ちです。
４）「リズムメモリーゲーム」Unit1-4全てのカードが必要です。
フラッシュカードは全て裏返しにしておきます。神経衰弱ゲーム同様、
カードを2枚めくります。単語を声に出して読み上げます。
単語の語尾の音同士が一緒であれば、カードをもらうことができます。
(例：bake,cake)

Select students have been given this extra Phonics review work
booklet to help them improve their reading and writing skills over
the summer break. Giraffe Class follows a four-page pattern.
The first page shows us how to blend the sounds together to make words.
The second page blends more words and gives us some writing practice.
The third page introduces more words to read. The last page has matching
and writing practice. Additionally, you may print out and use the Sounds Fun
flashcards found at the back of your Sounds Fun textbook or at
www.chimneys.jp/homework (password:fun2022)
to drill and play simple matching games.
